The Collagens DPY-17 and SQT-3 Direct Anterior–Posterior Migration of the Q Neuroblasts in C. elegans

چکیده

Cell adhesion molecules and their extracellular ligands control morphogenetic events such as directed cell migration. The migration of neuroblasts neural crest cells establishes the structure central peripheral nervous systems. In C. elegans, bilateral Q descendants undergo long-range migrations with left/right asymmetry. QR its on right migrate anteriorly, QL left posteriorly, despite identical patterns division, death, neuronal generation. initial direction protrusion relies asymmetric functions transmembrane receptors UNC-40/DCC PTP-3/LAR in cells. Here, we show that asymmetry is independent GPA-16/Gα pathway which regulates other asymmetries, including system L/R No cue has been identified guides anterior versus posterior migrations. Molecular signatures of cell migration in C. elegans Q neuroblasts

Metazoan cell movement has been studied extensively in vitro, but cell migration in living animals is much less well understood. In this report, we have studied the Caenorhabditis elegans Q neuroblast lineage during larval development, developing live animal imaging methods for following neuroblast migration with single cell resolution. We find that each of the Q descendants migrates at differe...

the analysis of the role of the speech acts theory in translating and dubbing hollywood films

Development and migration of the C. elegans Q neuroblasts and their descendants.

During the first stage of larval development, the Q neuroblasts and their descendants migrate to well-defined positions along the anteroposterior body axis, where they differentiate into sensory neurons and interneurons. The two Q neuroblasts are initially present at similar positions on the left and right lateral side, but this symmetry is broken when the Q neuroblast on the left side (QL) pol...

The C terminus of collagen SQT-3 has complex and essential functions in nematode collagen assembly.

The nematode exoskeleton is a multilayered structure secreted by the underlying hypodermal cells and mainly composed of small collagens, which are encoded by a large gene family. In previous work, we reported analysis of the C. elegans dpy-31 locus, encoding a hypodermally expressed zinc-metalloprotease of the BMP-1/TOLLOID family essential for viability and cuticle deposition. We have generate...
